We went up Buzzard Rock this weekend. Beautiful day, very windy, overall great trip.

The streams were up and there were more things to to call a “crossing” than the average day.

For those of you that haven’t been up on The Buzz for a while, they’re doing a fish hatchery makeover of some sorts. So it’s not as blissful as it would otherwise be at the first overlook.

The ridgeline still offers a lot of great opportunities for some serenity though.

Did I mention it was windy?
Some more ridgeline this weekend

A little past the “usual stop” for me, there’s a nifty rock face/formation that’s worth a (very) short trek over if you have enough time. It’s a good spot to just sit and admire the view. It’s also excellent if the more popular overlooks are busy. This one is tucked away and looks more sketchy than it really is, so it’s perfect for grabbing some solitude.

The formation can be seen here through the wooded area.
We put the sun cover over the spawn so he would be less wind blown while munching on his graham crackers.

Lots of fun as usual, can’t wait for it to start blooming again.
